Sidewood Estate Announce New Multimillion Dollar Restaurant, Cellar Door And Cidery

Sidewood Estate’s new venue is only a short drive from the CBD on a 50 acre working orchard and will . be a cellar door, cidery and restaurant.

Adelaide Hills winery, Sidewood Estate will enter next year with a new space. A cellar door, cidery and restaurant on River Road Hahndorf.

Established in 2004 by Owen and Cassandra Inglis, Sidewood Estate has numerous awards and accolades behind their name as well as being one of the largest certified eco-sustainable grower in the Adelaide Hills.

Working closely with local designer Amanda Shier, Cassandra says that the new venue is said to have a “clean and sleek, modern design of the restaurant and cellar door will feel elegant but approachable, relaxed and authentic.”

The new venue will only be a short drive from Adelaide’s CBD (only 12 minutes drive from the South Eastern Freeway toll gates) and is located on a on a 50 acre working orchard, with a working sheep farm.

Special features at the venue will include ten handcrafted, 45 degree pitch ‘cathedral style’ Victorian Ash timber trusses, a huge outdoor decked area (with a native gum encapsulated in the deck and dressed in bespoke lighting) and a two-way fireplace clad in local stone. The enclosed outdoor dining space features a retractable roof and an alfresco wood oven pizza kitchen.  The restaurant will seat 150 people and will be available for private bookings.

Sidewood Estate’s new venue is slated for mid-January 2020.
