Ortus Wines will be opening their brand new cellar door next month, following a six year project to bring their vision to life.
They’ll be celebrating their grand opening with an event that’ll see delicious wood-fired pizzas, wine and live music on offering for all to enjoy at their McLaren Vale property.
This seventh generation family winery is a combined effort between mother-daughter team Julie and Paige Cooper, who’s passion for wine, led to Julie purchasing the 26 acre vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale back in 2013.
The building was then purchased two years later, and redeveloped over the following six years to present a stunning bespoke cellar door for those visiting the beautiful and expansive winery.
Their new cellar door boasts custom made doors, a fire place imported from France, chandeliers and a large outdoor deck that overlooks the vast lawn area, where visitors are welcome to bring their own rug and picnic, to compliment their Ortus wine and enjoy a day relaxing amongst the vines.
Their offerings will include cheese platters to accompany their selection of wines, with picnic blankets also available to use.
It’s a great place for families and friends to get together, with even the furriest family members welcome to the property.
Officially launching on Saturday 18th December, tickets to this opening event will include a delicious 9″ pizza from Adelaide Mobile Wood-fired Pizzas and a glass of wine on arrival. Live music will keep you entertained as you settle in for the afternoon with a blanket and a spot under the gums (BYO picnics welcome also).
