Set in the heart of the McLaren Vale wine region is Beach Road Wines Cellar Door and Restaurant. A delightfully boutique venue catering for those wanting an intimate gathering. Bird In Hand
Starting in the picturesque Adelaide Hills we have Bird in Hand Winery. Set amongst the scrolling Adelaide Hills, this contemporary venue is modern, stylish and simple in its design making it one of the most popular for the young and engaged. Next to the rows and rows of BIH vineyards there’s a terrace/courtyard area with luscious green grass, the perfect location to say your ‘I do’s’. After the ceremony formalities are complete, there is enough space for your guests to sample the BIH wines and canapes whilst overlooking the vineyards and awe inspiring view.
BIH has two reception venues to choose from: The Gallery room which can hold up to 180 for a cocktail style reception and 100 for a sit down meal. The Barrel Hall which features wall to wall wine barrels, can hold up to 600 guests for a stand up cocktail style reception or 350 for a sit down formal meal.

Coriole Winery
Next up we move over to McLaren Vale and the intimate Coriole Winery. Sitting atop of the rolling hills of McLaren Vale and a very short journey from Willunga and the seaside, is Coriole Winery. The perfectly manicured English style gardens make for picture perfect ceremony locations. Your ceremony could be at the front of the house, overlooking all of McLaren Vale and situated next to the quaint porch setting under of the main house. Or in the rear terrace under the ficus or mulberry trees. Either location is both intimate and elegant.
Receptions are held in the courtyard gardens or undercover in the rustic veranda of the main house. There is also enough space to add marquees if you so desire. Just outside of Stirling in Longwood South Australia is Deviation Road Cellar Door and Wines. Deviation Road Wines is set on an estate property that boasts heritage listed bushland as well as the scenic vineyards for that perfect ceremony backdrop. With a selection of settings for both ceremony and reception you truly can’t go wrong. Whether you decide on a cocktail style reception on the deck for up to 120 guests, or a more formal affair in the wine garden pavilion that can seat up to 350 people. Deviation Road Wines is one of the hidden gems in the Adelaide Hills and for those couples who are looking for something a bit different to the big named wineries, this is your venue.

Farmer’s Leap
This is a particularly great winery if you’re looking for a rustic/boho chic vibe. The cellar door can fit anywhere between 35-200 guests within its gorgeous stone walls. The open plan leaves you with complete freedom when it comes to decor and layouts which is a major bonus. You can even book out the whole place and spread your ceremony and reception between the cellar door and lush lawns. With views of the sprawling vineyard and an undeniable charm, no matter where you celebrate you’re sure to love this venue.

Glen Ewin Estate
Just 4 minutes outside of suburbia lies an oasis, Glen Ewin Estate. Glen Ewin Estate is located in the small town of Houghton, close to accommodation and the Tea Tree Gully in the Adelaide Hills. Your first venue choice at Glen Ewin is there 100-year-old barn known as The Pulp Shed. Nestled between heritage stone buildings and a lovely grassed area next to a lake. The Pulp Shed is at the northern end of the property.
At the top of the property is venue choice number 2, The Gatehouse. Sitting just underneath the cellar door and restaurant, this room is less rustic than The Pulp Shed and more modern. Leaving you to add your own styling and theme to this already beautifully elegant room.

Hillsview Estate
Hillsview Estate in the Clare Valley is next on our list. Hillsview has the most magnificent rustic barn (first built in the 1890’s) that you will ever see. With stunning views over the lake and vineyard, K1 by Geoff Hardy offers one of the most unique function venues in South Australia. They consciously limit the number of weddings held at K1 each year, making every celebration super unique and special. K1 is the ideal venue for having both your ceremony and reception at the one location.
Kingsbrook Estate
Kingsbrook Estate is situated 90km’s (1hr drive) out of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula in Currency Creek. Proprietors Chris and Anna live on the property, it was a home before it was a restaurant and event venue so it makes for a cosy and welcoming venue. The property is wide and sprawling and brings with it so many details and features you would think that you had flown to England or the French Rivera for your wedding and not Currency Creek. With stunning backdrops, heritage details, a tall flowing fountain, lush gardens, vineyards, bushlands and a river there are photo opportunities at every turn. Kingsbrook Estate is a place where you want to wander and get lost just to see all of the abundant details.
Kingsbrook boasts 2 reception choices. The Orangerie which is just behind the restaurant, is a long room that could also be used as an inside option for your ceremony. The vintage barn doors make a beautiful feature to stand in front of and say your “I do’s”.
Your second reception choice is the purpose built marquee which is located on lush green grass and in eye sight of the vineyards and bushland. The marquee is lined with sheer white draping and has a built in dance floor for late night boogieing.
