BLACK PUDDIN

BEST OF THE BEST

Renowned for its vibrant array of performances, this year’s Adelaide Fringe welcomes an unforgettable cabaret showcase, ‘Best of the Best Variety’, offering a curated spectacle of the hottest handpicked shows across the season.

Hosted by the incomparable Tash York, who has cemented herself as one of the best MC/singer/cabaret performers in the country, this show promises an hour of non-stop entertainment that will leave audiences breathless and wanting more

LIQUORED UP LATE

Adelaide Fringe is set to be taken by storm with the bold and hilarious comedy cabaret, ‘Liquored Up Late’, a show that promises to be as entertaining as it is empowering. 

Touted as a celebration of the strength, resilience, and humour of women, the show features a fierce, loud, loose and liquored-up all-female cast, 99% hailing from North Queensland—a fact that may explain a lot… or perhaps nothing at all.

HANS: A DISKO SPECTACULAR

After a dramatic year (or two, or three), the pride of Berlin and international superstar Hans (America’s Got Talent) is taking his award winning comedy cabaret show “Disco Spektakulär“ around Australia in his biggest tour yet! And now it’s your turn Adelaide! Hans is back at Gluttony and the Adelaide Fringe for the first time in a long time in a triumphant return.

Rising like a purple feathered phoenix from the ashes, Hans is set to get the party started with a slew of disco hits, his glamorous girls The Lucky B*tches and what every party needs…A piano accordion!

CHANSONS: Piaf, Brel & Me – Musical Cabaret About France

Adelaide, get ready for a remarkable musical experience as Stefanie Rummel, one of Europe’s most thrilling musical cabaret singer, returns to the Adelaide Fringe 2024 with her enchanting show, ‘Chansons: Piaf, Brel & Me.’ 

After captivating audiences in cities like New York and Berlin, the musical theatre actress Rummel, is set to grace the stage at The Garage International at the Adelaide Town Hall from the 16th to the 22nd and on the 24th and 25th of February.

DRESSED TO KILL

For six shows only, running from Tuesday, March 5th to Sunday, March 10th, this Adelaide Fringe premiere, circus and variety show is a one-of-a-kind tribute to the legendary rock band KISS and a must-see for any die-hard KISS fan or lover of 80s rock!

‘Dressed To Kill’ (M15+) is a journey back to the electrifying era of the 80s—think big hair, animal print, and rock anthems that have stood the test of time, and this extraordinary homage to ‘the greatest rock band on earth’ is designed to bring the iconic glam rock style of KISS to life through a mesmerising circus extravaganza.

HEAR MY VOICE

This year’s Fringe sees the 5-star cabaret show “Hear My Voice,” with acclaimed singer Alexandra Frost and esteemed jazz pianist Ed Heddle, taking Adelaide audiences on an intimate journey of self-discovery and empowerment through the power of song.

Running from Sunday, 18th February to Sunday, 3rd March at the chic Plant 4 Bowden Mezzanine, Alexandra Frost’s “Hear My Voice” stands as a beacon of hope and strength, celebrating the so-called flaws that make us who we are in a world where uniqueness is often met with misunderstanding.

SOMEONE ELSE’S STORY

Rebecca Pynor, an emerging star in Adelaide’s musical theatre landscape, has captivated audiences with her lead roles in iconic stage productions such as ‘The Addams Family’ in 2021 and ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ in 2022. Her talent and dedication to her craft have earned her a prestigious 2024 Fringe grant, setting the stage for what is anticipated to be a breathtaking Fringe debut.

‘Someone Else’s Story’ is a show featuring a carefully curated selection of songs from beloved musicals, including ‘Chess’, ‘Wicked’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Company’, and more, and through her powerful vocals and emotive storytelling, Bec invites the audience into her personal journey to the stage, showcasing her growth as an artist and her passion for musical theatre.

LEATHER LUNGS: SHUT UP AND SING!

In an electrifying blend of comedy, cabaret, and vocal wizardry, the Adelaide Fringe is set to be taken by storm with the South Australian premiere of ‘Leather Lungs: Shut Up and Sing!’, running from Tuesday the 27th of February to Sunday the 17th of March at The Lark at Gluttony.

Fresh from his acclaimed sell-out shows across Australia and a notable debut at the Edinburgh Fringe as part of the 2023 House of Oz program, Leather Lungs, the master of falsetto, stiletto, and savage wit, is ready to dazzle audiences once again.

MIDLIFE

Jodie Stubbs’ latest comedy cabaret act, ‘MIDLIFE’, running from the 27th of February to Sunday, 3rd March, at The Kingfisher at Gluttony, is a celebration and exploration of the midlife crisis in a way that’s both hilarious and heartwarming.

This Sydney-based cabaret performer, known for her engaging stage presence and remarkable vocal talent, is no stranger to the festival circuit. After a successful stint across Australian cities, Stubbs is bringing her critically acclaimed show to Adelaide for the first time, promising an unforgettable night of entertainment across six shows only.

With an award nomination for Best in Cabaret and Musical Theatre at the Sydney Fringe 2022, the show offers a unique blend of comedy, music, and candid observation that speaks directly to the heart of middle-aged existence.
