Cult classic Edward Scissorhands to screen in Botanic Park

The outdoor cinema Botanica Lumina is showing Edward Scissorhands at Botanic Park.

Outdoor cinemas always make for a relaxing evening. You can bring a picnic rug and cheeseboard and see a quality film amongst the stars.

The outdoor cinema Botanica Lumina is showing a film that is bound to excite, as it’s one of the ’90s most iconic films.

If you don’t know Edward Scissorhands, is about an artificial man who was never completely constructed. He has scissors for hands and leads a solitary life. One day a suburban lady meets him and introduces him to her world. As their story unravels, the audience is taken on a romantic fantasy journey that makes us laugh but also cry.

From trimming hair to hedges and creating beautiful topiaries, come and enjoy seeing Edward work his magic with his scissorhands.

It’s a great opportunity to introduce someone to the film who hasn’t seen it yet, and what better way to see it than on the big screen at Botanic Park.

So bring your blankets and nibbles, or pre-order a picnic box of goodies from the Gardens Café and Kiosk, and relax and unwind on the lawns before the film.

You can’t bring your own alcohol into the cinema, but a bar will also be available on the night for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The film will be showing Sat., 24 April 2021 from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm.
