Pepper Street Arts Centre is excited to present The Art of Storytelling as part of Adelaide Fringe, an exhibition showcasing the work of over 30 talented artists, each sharing their own narrative through creative expression. From Sunday February 23rd, visitors are invited to explore these unique artworks and discover the power of storytelling.
The exhibition will launch with a community event on February 23rd from 2pm, featuring guest speaker Mandy Foot, a well-known illustrator and children’s author. Mandy will share insights into how she creates stories and brings them to life through her art. The launch will also include a range of free activities, live music, and artist demonstrations, making it a fun event for all ages.

Each artwork in the exhibition is created using a range of mediums by artists, from painting and drawing to ceramics, sculpture, digital art, and more. These pieces are more than just images; they are stories that transport you to imaginative new worlds.
During the exhibition, there will be artist demonstrations where you can see how the artworks are made, and you’ll get a chance to watch the artists bring their stories to life using different techniques and materials.

As part of The Art of Storytelling exhibition, there will be a series of artist demonstrations and talks on different days throughout the event. Here’s the full schedule:
• Thursday February 27th | 10:30am to 12pm | Heather Waring – 3D Collage
• Saturday March 1st | 2pm to 3:30pm | Larissa Rogacheva – Ink and Watercolour Wash

Narrative art is so powerful because it captures deep emotions and explores diverse cultures and experiences. Each piece tells a unique story, encouraging us to think about the narratives we share and the connections between them. These art pieces invite us to reflect on how stories can bring us closer and help us understand each other better.
The Art of Storytelling exhibition will run from Sunday February 23rd to Friday March 21st, so you’ll have plenty of time to see all the amazing works on display! It’s not one to miss this Adelaide Fringe season.
