We’ve had some great times overlooking Gouger Street from The Loft Wine Bar. The Oyster and Wine affair has enjoyed a solid run, some memorable summers, some delicious Gin soaked nights and countless wines over the years. But those times are set to change with new proprietors officially placing their stamp upon the venue as of today.
Say farewell to The Loft and please welcome Mrs Q Asian Kitchen Bar:
The changes extend beyond the mouth-watering menu, which will now also include an $11.90 lunch special menu during the week for those who want to duck in to check it out. Touches to the previous dining room have added distinct splashes of colour, including small chilli bushes being grown between the casual bar and dining area. It all adds to the new atmosphere they’re attempting to cultivate; and open and classic dining experience that feeds from the energy of the main bar, balcony and high seated areas. The food is a nice combination of sit down and Chinese-inspired bar snacks to accompany. And the cocktail list looks absolutely insane:
