Pakistani street food pop-up opens at Adelaide Central Market

Now until the 27th of March, experience authentic Pakistani street-food right in the heart of the Central Market.

Authentic homemade Pakistani street food has arrived at the Adelaide Central Market.

Pop-up stall Foodie and Mrs is the Market’s newest Producer in Residence, which is a program is all about celebrating and highlighting local culinary talents by providing them with a location to showcase their passion to the public. 

Foodie and Mrs follows previous Producer in Residents such as Ms. Maria, Sassi Ice Cream, Staazi & Co and Seasons. 

Expect to be delighted by a range of incredible vegetarian dishes that ignite the senses, so much so that they even sold out of all their food on their opening day.

The menu features a host of traditional Pakistani foods, such as Bun Kebab (Pakistani Street Burger), Channa Chaat (Chickpea Salad) and Dahi Baray (Lentil Dumplings).

There will also be a variety of desserts to sample, such as Kheer (Almond Rice Pudding), ideal tea cake and red rose (traditional Pakistani drink).

Gluten-free options are also available.

In honour of Pakistan Day on the 23rd of March, Foodie and Mrs will be offering a special Carrot Halwa (Carrot Delight) dessert for purchase as a celebration of their culture. 

Foodie and Mrs will be available at the Adelaide Central Market until March 27th. 

The Adelaide Central Market is open Tuesday-Saturday, including late nights until 9pm on Fridays.
