Paleo Pete Evans Heads Kitchen At This South Australian Winery

Celebrity Chef Pete Evans has joined Team Teakle, consulting to Peter Teakle in the development of his current projects including the vineyard venue and the waterfront Limani Motel.

Celebrity Chef Pete Evans has joined Team Teakle, consulting to Peter Teakle in the development of his current projects including the vineyard venue and the waterfront Limani Motel.

Pete Evans flew in to Port Lincoln last week to meet with Peter and Diana Williams, to view the projects and start his consulting on kitchen design and menus for the first project up at the vineyard, formerly Delacolline Winery.

Peter Teakle said “I am delighted to have the expertise and experience of Chef Pete Evans. He loves Eyre Peninsula produce, so we are fortunate to have him help us design the kitchen as well as put together menus that celebrate local produce.”

Pete Evans and his two chefs, Jacinta and Monica, will also recruit an executive Chef and kitchen team, as well as designing a seasonal menu that showcases the best of Eyre Peninsula.

“This is a dream come true to be able to work with my old mate Peter Teakle on this exciting project. Port Lincoln is hands down the seafood capital of Australia and our team and I are passionate about respecting and highlighting all that Port Lincoln has to offer and create another wonderful dining and function destination for locals and visitors.” Pete Evans said.

The partnership with Pete Evans and Team Teakle will also allow Eyre Peninsula to be showcased around Australia as Pete aims to promote the region and the local produce through his extensive networks.

The vineyard will be open as a restaurant, function facility and will host weddings for locals and those choosing Eyre Peninsula as a destination for their special day. The venue will be open in early November 2017.
