PATIO Coffee Roasters, renowned for their specialty coffee, has brewed up something exciting with their new destination roastery in Richmond. Prompted by the redevelopment of the South Road tunnels, the move has allowed the team to expand their space three times the size of their previous spot, offering coffee lovers and retailers a truly unique coffee-style, cellar door experience.

“For many people, ‘coffee is life’. We understand, because ‘coffee is life’ for us too,” Basil Papas, PATIO’S Founding Director, says.

“We dedicate every waking moment to producing, sharing and teaching coffee. Our new roastery is where the magic happens. Coffee lovers and retailers can drop in to sample our bespoke offering, purchase premium beans, and browse our world-class selection of coffee machines and accessories.”

The new Richmond Road venue is a coffee lover’s dream come true, featuring a stylish coffee-style cellar door experience where customers can discover a range of quality, single-origin and curated coffee blends.

PATIO is known for their diverse selection, offering everything from chocolatey and nutty blends, to fruity and floral options. “PATIO’S back-of-house, ‘Green Bean Room’ has been designed to create a temperature-controlled space, to ensure raw coffee beans are stored in optimal condition prior to roasting.”

PATIO also run a COFFEE CRAFT Training Academy to elevate and nurture SA’s coffee culture. The Academy offers a range of educational workshops, including foundational and advanced barista training, precision roasting workshops, and dedicated mentor support to take business success to the next level.

“Exceptional coffee begins with premium beans, and is complemented by refined skills, the best equipment, and ongoing, loyal support,” Sarah Dawn, PATIO’S Sales & Training Manager, says.

“Our new space showcases a curated range of state-of-the-art coffee machines, accessories, and water filtration technology. Additionally, we offer timely machine servicing and repairs.”

PATIO’s brand-new roastery marks an exciting expansion of their already established presence, taking their passion for coffee to new heights. Coffee lovers can sign-up to coffee training to improve their at-home game, and can experience the art and science of manual brewing (including drip, plunger, and ever-growing extract chilling methods) on the spot.
