Paul Kelly has officially announced an extensive arena tour across Australia and New Zealand for August and September 2025. The tour, presented by Frontier Touring, Triple M (AU), and Stuff (NZ), includes Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Perth, Melbourne, Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland.
This tour is particularly significant as it marks Kelly’s only performances scheduled for 2025, and will showcase his first new album in seven years. “Fever Longing Still”, set for release on November 1, 2024, will offer new material since his 2018 album “Nature”. Fans are eagerly anticipating the fresh additions to Kelly’s revered repertoire, which has spanned over four decades. The album, inspired partially by Shakespeare, includes tracks such as ‘Taught By Experts’ and ‘Houndstooth Dress’.
American roots rock band Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will join Kelly for all Australian dates. Isbell, a six-time GRAMMY winner, has been recognised as having one of the most commanding voices in the genre. His latest work with the 400 Unit, “Weathervanes”, was the recipient of the Best Americana Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
Australian country music artist Fanny Lumsden will open for Kelly’s Australian concerts. Lumsden has quickly climbed the ranks in the country scene, with her album “HEY DAWN” achieving widespread critical acclaim and commercial success. In New Zealand, the tour will feature singer-songwriter Reb Fountain, known for her unique blend of folk and rock, enhancing the lineup with her critically acclaimed performance style.
Tickets for all shows will go on sale on October 30th, with a presale for Frontier Members starting on October 28th.
