Beauty On O’Connell Owner and Manager Jade Venables identifies her business as a “beauty village” since it combines a range of beauty treatments offered by experts in their field, working under one roof to offer their clients a comprehensive range of services. These include three human-focused, uniquely specialised beauty salons (Jade’s beauty salon, Palita Beauty Salon, and TZ Cosmetic Nurse) and a salon for spoiled canines and cats, Snowy’s Choice Pet Grooming.
Jade emphasised that Beauty On O’Connell isn’t a collection of separate businesses working in isolation from each other, “… our customers don’t come in and walk through different doors for different businesses. They’re coming into a space where we all work together in harmony. A customer can receive one beauty treatment from me and another from someone else within our village. We create a flow during which we sequence our schedules to match our customer’s needs. They can also bring their dog or cat to be groomed. If there’s a gap in completion times, their pet can remain at Snowy’s, or they can sit in our lounge with a relaxing beverage while they wait for their pet.”
Jade explained each village member’s different services, starting with her salon’s services: “I do spray tans, waxing, eyebrow, eyelash tinting, microdermabrasion facials, and IPL, which attends to skin pigmentation, sun damage, broken capillaries, and large pores. I also perform skin tightening, body tone, skin needling, tattoo removal, carbon facials and laser hair removal, and teeth whitening.”
“Palita does eyelash extensions, eyebrow tattooing, lip tattooing. She does BB Glow Facials and provides massages. Our onsite nurse, Tina Zoanetti, specialises in medically based facial assessments and has provided services such as skin rejuvenation techniques to her clients for 16 years. So, we’re similar but also quite distinct in the beauty services we offer, and we’re happy to work together to provide our customers with a seamless and relaxing beauty experience.

Snowy’s Choice Pet Grooming specialises in Japanese-style grooming, unlike standard groomers who follow breed-specific groom guidelines. This refined approach to pet styling involves scissor-only cutting to achieve adorable rounded teddy bear cuts (as seen all over Instagram) or more individualised, artistic styles.
Snowy’s owner and groomer, Heidi Cheung, detailed her style and services that set her business apart from standard grooming salons, “We specialize in Japanese-style grooming, which focuses on precision and artistry, paying close attention to every detail to bring out each pet’s unique charm. We limit our sessions to one or two pets at a time, ensuring a calm, stress-free experience where every pet receives personalized care. Our cage-free salon allows pets to roam around in secure spaces while they wait for their pet parents.”
Along with hair styling, Snowy’s Choice offers relaxing spa treatments, including massages, ear and tooth cleaning, nail clipping, and more.

Jade has big plans ahead to bring more beauty services into the Beauty On O’Connell village; after all, making people (and pets) feel their very best is what she’s most passionate about.
