After four years at their current PEAQ Performance facility, owners Sean and Jami Baker have announced they will be building and opening a bigger and better PEAQ in West Lakes.
With the motto “closing the gap between local and elite”, PEAQ gym is built around providing high-quality fitness services to people who have all different needs, from athletes to weekend warriors.

Sean Baker is not new to the sporting and fitness industry, with years of experience dating back to when he was a young footy player doing work experience with the Port Adelaide Magpies.
“I’ve always been really into sport and fitness, I worked as a fitness leader, and studied exercise science thinking that I would go into teaching but fell in love with strength and conditioning work instead,” Sean said.
“When it came down to it, my wife and I decided we were ready to build something for ourselves in 2018, we decided to take our dreams seriously and see where that leads.”
In 2019 Sean and his partner Jami opened their current PEAQ Performance Centre with the focus of providing a safe space where people can come and work on a common goal together.
PEAQ stands for periodised, evidence-based, applied and qualified, which all reflect Sean’s motto for the popular training centre that first opened in 2019 at its current 400sq location.
Their new location in West Lakes is set to be an incredible 1400sq. This new space is set to contain more equipment, a half basketball court, soccer goals and even an outdoor area.
“We’re looking forward to being able to home more equipment for people who have different fitness needs. We can accommodate a wider range of people with our new space and we are so excited to expand our incredible community,” Sean explained.
“This whole process has been a huge learning experience, it’s been a mixture of tough and exciting, I’m more nervous for this leap to our new space than I was when we created our first space but I’m ready for this new journey.”
The new PEAQ Performance Centre is set to open its doors at the end of this year, bringing professional fitness and a community feeling to West Lakes.
