Pet Let has changed the game for family getaways with over 50 pet-friendly properties across SA

Keen to explore more of South Australia, but unsure of what to do with your pets? Pet Let is reinventing pet friendly accomodation.

Have you ever planned an awesome getaway with the whole family (including the dogs), booked accommodation that said it was pet friendly, but realised your furry friends weren’t allowed inside? Well, in 2009 the team at Pet Let felt your pain, and purchased their first property to have a modern, clean beachside venue that allowed guests to bring pets inside.

Since that first beach house in 2009, Pet Let has grown to have over 50 properties all over the state and become a hidden gem for both pets and homeowners hoping to stay at or rent out fantastic properties.

“Our founder Melinda bought the first property in 2009, and instead of doing a long-term rental, she opted for short-term stays. That’s how Pet Let was born,” shared operations manager Nick.

“Up until Covid, we were growing super organically, adding a couple of properties a year. But since 2020 we have totally exploded to now 57 properties.”

Pet Let now lets people rent out their homes through the website, meaning there are tonnes of locations to choose from all over the state, with unique holiday homes for holidayers looking for venues of all shapes and sizes.

“The more popular properties are definitely the smaller ones. Around holidays, Christmas and New Year’s, we’ll get families renting the bigger properties for a week or two, but during the quieter months we love seeing couples come down during the week to enjoy a couple of nights in these stunning locations,” Nick shares.

Pet Let has all sorts of properties, perfectly suited for small or large groups, and pets of all sizes.

“The nightly rates change to suit the time of year and season, so people get to experience a bit of everything. We’ve got amazing properties. From Encounter Bay to the esplanade in Aldinga and even WA, there are some really cool places.

“I love 1/18 Franklin Parade in Encounter Bay, it’s a New York-style loft. Also, 47A Victoria St, in Victor Harbor, it’s fully decked out, has great amenities, kayaks, it’s a great entertaining space.”

Nick says that they mostly see dogs and cats, but they are always willing to hear out most requests and keen to help find the perfect place for you (and your furry friends) where they can.

Plus, guests are always greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolates upon arrival, but it is always recommended to bring along your own food and beds for your pets!

So if you have been thinking about exploring a bit more of the state, and are keen to bring your pets along with you, look no further than Pet Let.
