Lockwood General, an eatery, coffee shop, providore, and bar, is opening soon in Burnside.
The new venture is courtesy of the crew behind Hindley Street’s much-loved Peter Rabbit, and the recently opened (and exceedingly Instagrammable) Bloom.
According to the Lockwood General Instagram page, the venue is inspired by Burnside’s original Lockwood General Store, built by Joseph Lockwood in the 1850s.
“In 2021, we’re proudly reviving that tradition, giving this historic building a vibrant new lease on life,” reads the Instagram post.
“Our modern interpretation of a bygone era opens very soon.”
Lockwood General will be located at 35 High Street, Burnside.
