The annual Reschke Degustation dinner took place last Wednesday 31st August at one South Australia’s most awarded restaurants Georges on Waymouth.
It was the first time that Reschke Wines had ever offered to the public a Vertical tasting of Reschke’s most prize Cabernet Empyrean, 1999, 2002, 2004 & 2006
Over 60 guests turned up to be seated to an exquisite 5 course degustation dinner, carefully put together by head chef Head Chef Brent Potuszynski. Following drinks and canapés in the upstairs ‘pop-up’ Reschke Cellar Door, guests were entertained by a 5 course degustation dinner.
Dishes included Grilled Octopus, beetroot pesto, taramasalata; Kangaroo Loin, served with aubergine compote and zucchini puffed grains; Lamb Press, pancetta, mustard fruits, swede puree with Swiss Chard.
Burke Reschke, MD of Reschke Wines hosted the evening, and gave a special talk introducing his award winning wines to his guests on the night.
This year was the third year that Reschke Empyrean was placed again in the top 10 Australian Cabernet’s, by Winestate Magazine.
Reschke Wines is a family owned winery in Coonawarra. Famed for producing some of Australia’s finest aged Cabernet’s.
