Pick and Snip your own grapes in the gorgeous Barossa Valley

Ballycroft Vineyard and Cellars are back this year with their unique Barossa experience, the Ballycroft Snip and Pick.

Ballycroft Vineyard and Cellars are back this year with their unique Barossa experience, the Ballycroft Snip and Pick.

The Snip and Pick has been running for over 20 years, bringing family and friends together with Ballycroft’s Joseph and Sue to help bring in the vintage at this family-owned pico winery in the Barossa Valley.

As the Autumn season comes along, the 2022 vintage is underway for many winemakers. This involves harvesting the grapes from the vineyards and preparing it to be made into wine.

For those who come along, you will be treated to a Barossa experience like no other, really getting to see behind the curtain of the wine making process.

Your day will involve handpicking grapes, meeting new people, enjoying a shared morning tea and lunch, and getting to see a side of a winery you wouldn’t normally get access to.

This is a free event, and no experience is necessary to join in.

Joseph and Sue advise people bring a hat, sunscreen, comfortable and closed in shoes, water bottle a chair and to cover up in long sleeves and pants.

The Snip and Pick is taking place this Saturday March 12 at 7:30am at Ballycroft Vineyard and Cellars located at 1 Adelaide Road, Greenock.

If you can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry as there are more picking days to come.
