A free community event is making its way to Glenelg, with Fork on the Road setting up a food truck fiesta this Sunday, October 17.
The City of Holdfast Bay is collaborating with Fork on the Road, South Australia’s premier food truck event series, to showcases local food and transform areas into a picnic wonderland you won’t want to miss.
Grab your picnic blanket and come along for a classic Spring picnic with family or friends at the beautiful park, Wigley Reserve, right in the heart of Glenelg. Get relaxed and settled in the sun from 11am-4pm where you can enjoy live entertainment and delicious food and drink trucks including Staazi & Co, the Greek Vegan Street food that is rated no.5 best vegan food truck in the world by Lonely Planet!
But don’t worry if you aren’t a fan of Yiros, there are 14 different food trucks that are sure to fill your cravings on the day. Enjoy barista-made coffee from Combo Coffee Bar or if you’re looking for something a little stronger, there will be licensed bars pouring fresh beverages on the day.
An event for each family member to enjoy, the foodie event will also host an epic line-up of kids activities for the young ones to enjoy. These activities include henna and face painting, circus skills with the troop from CircoBats and interactive 3D Dinosaur puzzles with Dig a Dino. Kids will also be able to swing from the handlebars and whizz down the slide of Wigley Reserves newly refurbed playground.
The event was set to be held on October 3 but due to the weather forecast has now been rescheduled to this Sunday October 17, when the sun is set to shine down on Glenelg. All you need to bring is a chair or rug to sit on, while you bask in the sun, and Fork on the Road will provide the rest.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be restricted capacity, so we suggest arriving early to make sure you get a spot.
