Once Upon a Princess cordially invites the children of Adelaide to ‘Picnic with a Princess’ this Easter and experience a world where fairytales come to life.

Gaze upon your favourite princesses as they descend the stairs of heritage-listed Carclew Castle in North Adelaide, where the kids will then be swept into a land of fairytale magic.

Have a meet and greet with all your favourite princesses, including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Snow Sisters, Arabian Princess, Island Princess, Dancing Beauty and the Little Mermaid.

Once Upon a Princess have been holding these magical events for five years now in heritage sites across Adelaide, including Carrick Hill and Auchendarroch Castle.

“We started off as a royal ball, but it’s massive now!” said the event organiser, who goes by the name Fairy Godmother.

“There was a massive need in the market. Families can’t meet the princesses at larger commercial events, but you can meet them here.”

Princesses need to be COVID-safe too, so sprawl across the lawns of the castle with your picnic basket and rug and await for each princess to personally come to you. There will be lots of opportunity for photos and curtsy lessons.

After you meet the princesses, stroll down to the animal nursery where you will meet royal unicorn ponies, Ruby and Pip. Pat and hold some real bunny rabbits before commencing the Easter festivities!

The princesses will introduce the kids to the one-and-only Easter Bunny, who will announce the Easter hunt! The kids will take home as many Easter eggs they can find, as well as an Easter bunny necklace and an activity bag full of magical goodies.

Soft serve ice cream, hot cinnamon donuts and slushies are available throughout the day and is all inclusive in the ticket price. And don’t worry, parents! You have not been forgotten. Fresh barista coffee is also included to give you that much-needed coffee fix.

Only 150 person can attend each session and 50% tickets have been sold – grab your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
