There’s nothing that gets mouths watering more than a classic flavour combination. Mac and cheese, cookies and cream, bacon and…anything. The crispy, salty goodness that is bacon can elevate any dish, but pair it with Bourbon like our good friends at Sean’s Kitchen and you’re onto a real winner.
The SkyCity eatery, which is known for its South Australian steak and seafood, has made a name for itself with its feasting festivals and now, the annual Bacon and Bourbon celebration is back!
Held over four weeks, Head Chef, Sean Connolly, combines two of his culinary loves in a special menu that showcases the best of South Australian pork and its favourite accompaniment, American bourbon and rye.
Pig out on a half-rack of bourbon-glazed ribs, a smoked beef-brisket burger or bacon, mac & cheese all topped off with the sweet notes of a caramel bacon donut for dessert.


Available from Tuesday – Saturday, the specially curated menu will accompany a number of specials including a Live Smoker Tasting Platter that features all the best bits from this year’s menu which is available every Thursday for the duration of the festival.
And while the food may be bourbon-infused, it wouldn’t be complete without a cocktail to wash it down. Let the talented bar staff at Sean’s Kitchen whip you up one of two Southern-inspired concoction to help you really understand why bacon and bourbon is the superior flavour combo.


Sean’s Kitchen recently took out the award for Best Contemporary Australian Restaurant (informal) at the 2022 SA Restaurant and Catering Awards, an accolade that sits proudly among Sean’s many others including numerous Chef’s Hats.
The Bacon and Bourbon event is just one of many annual food celebrations at Sean’s Kitchen with OysterFest and Crab and Champagne Festival a must on any Adelaide foodies calendar.
