Pikes Beer Co and Prairie Hotel join forces for an unforgettable Tasting Australia event

Join Pikes Beer Co and Prairie Hotel for an unforgettable event, showcasing the best tastes and flavours of the Flinders Ranges.

Pikes Beer Co and Prairie Hotel + Parachilna Brew Project are teaming up to bring you an unforgettable cross-regional collaboration event, showcasing the best tastes and flavours of the Clare Valley and Flinders Ranges this Tasting Australia!

Join the team on the Pikes Lawn in May for a day packed with fun, fantastic beers, and delicious food with the talented teams from SLATE Restaurant and the Prairie Hotel to collaborate on a menu cooked over open flames, featuring the finest local and regional ingredients.

The menu features Prairie Hotel’s renowned feral antipasto, smoked miso eggplant, buffalo Reuben sandwich, and spit-roasted porchetta. But if that’s not enough, a limited quantity of 1.5kg tomahawk steaks will be on offer, flame-cooked to your preference. The menu can also be altered to suit dietary requirements.

“I’m excited to collaborate with Pikes & the Clare Valley region during Tasting Australia,” Angus (Gus) Love, Head Chef at Prairie Hotel said.

“I hear a lot of people say a trip to the Flinders is a daunting distance to travel, so I suggest why not break it up by going via Clare. There’s so many stunning wineries, an iconic brewery and eating & drinking establishments to explore.”

So beer, steak and your mates… sounds like the perfect weekend to me.

The Prairie Hotel in Parachilna is a contemporary to rustic lodging in a remote venue with a bar, bush-inspired dining, and art gallery.

While you soak up the atmosphere, be sure to enjoy a selection of beers from Pikes Beer Co and Parachilna Brew Project, including a special limited release collaboration brew, while being entertained by the incredible live music of Max Savage and his 8-piece band.

“For me, this event not only celebrates the coming together of two unique South Australian regions, but the long-standing friendship of the Pike and Fargher families,” Alister Pike, manager of Pikes Beer Co said.

“First-class produce and hospitality have been at the forefront what our families have strived for over the last 40 years and this event is set to showcase our unique offerings!”

“The opportunity to collaborate with the Prairie Hotel and Parachilna Brew Project excites me greatly, and it’s been fantastic to see the passion and energy from both brewery and kitchen teams shine through.”

Your ticket includes event entry, a drink upon arrival, and an exclusive Pikes Beer Co X Parachilna Brew Project beer glass to take home as a souvenir. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the provided food stalls and bars throughout the day.

For those coming from Adelaide, the Pikes team offer an optional return coach transfer for $70 per person. The coach will depart from the Adelaide Convention Centre on North Terrace at 9:15am and return at 7pm, ensuring a hassle-free journey to and from the event.
