After their debut along The Parade in July this year, the team from Studio Pilates aren’t resting on their laurels with a new CBD location set to open its doors on Saturday 10 September.
The Studio will be located at 9 Young Street Adelaide, set to continue to expand upon their philosophy of intense 40-minute classes. The studio will feature 12 reformers in their trademark elegant and stylish surrounds (think crystal chandelier light fixtures and hardwood floors. As we’ve previously mentioned, those who love exercise have Instagram profiles but for the rest of us, exercise can be about as much fun as cleaning the refrigerator (actually a solid workout, spoiled only by the fact you’re usually eating as you go).
You don’t see quite so many Instagram accounts for Pilates because being pictured reformer on a reformer would be compromising regardless what you’re doing. #Fitspiration aside, Studio Pilates provide an incredible full body work out without the impact of a traditional gym workout (or the grunting beefcake guys), so it’s far more versatile and accessible for a host of people.
Look, we’ve had plenty of time this winter to get a nice homely coating, but this Pilates is about health as much as it is about fitness. You’re strengthening your body in a supportive community, and for the most part you’re lying down. No really, you’re not braced in the push up position or anything. You’re on your back and working out. And once you get adept at it you can even close your eyes and catch a nap. It’s basically like working out and resting at the same time.
