Ever wondered if there’s a better way to incorporate “self-care” into your routine? A wellness centre in Welland called Pillar of Light is making looking after yourself easy with a range of meditative and holistic practices.
This June they’re hosting a Wellness Weekend which is packed full of workshops to try with everything from meditation, to sound healing, to mindset training and more.
“It’s only $25 for people to come and try what we have to offer at Pillar of Life. There’s so many different healing modalities for the mind, body and spirit, so each person will like something different. This event is like a tasting plate if you like,” owner Harriet Moursellas says.
No longer reserved for the ‘hippies’, self-healing through meditation and holistic practices is starting to make its way into the lives of many, however, a stigma still exists – something that Pillar of Light owner, Harriet Moursellas, is trying to change.
“This is open to everybody, we just wanted to create a safe space for people. You don’t have to be fully spiritual to be into wellness, it’s about finding how you can feel your best,” Harriet says.
Harriet is a counsellor and healer herself, but is opening her studio to a range of practitioners all specialising in their own methodology of healing and wellness on the the 17th and 18th of June.
There will be a lot on offer, including meditation, sound healings and sacred soul alignment healings which heal all aspects of people’s emotional, mental, physical and spiritual bodies. This series of alignments focusses on clearing and healing mental and emotional blockages from all lifetimes.
There will also be Mindset Coach and owner of Mindset Reborn, Jim Moursellas, who endeavours to help people understand how to use tools effectively in the real world to assist with their mental health, personal and professional lives.
“We do this through one on one coaching, mentoring, teachings and seminars, with ongoing support or individuals, groups or companies, removing limiting beliefs, anchoring emotion techniques, understanding sub-conscious conditioned behaviour & thoughts, and how to truly manifest things in life,” Moursellas says.
Deep dive into gua sha, face Yoga and Nia dance workshops while there as well and complimentary consultations for kinesiology, bicom – bioresonance therapy, facials, and energy healing.
“If people have never tried this but want to dip a toe in, this is a great chance to get a taste to see what suits them,” Harriet says.
