Pippa Wanganeen and Cosi Camp In For Kids Facing Cancer

Children’s cancer charity Camp Quality has launched its innovative ‘Camp In’ for kids facing cancer, with two great South Aussies on board as ambassadors.

Tents will soon be springing up in bedrooms, living rooms, and backyards across Australia as leading children’s cancer charity Camp Quality launches its innovative ‘Camp In’ for kids facing cancer.

Registrations are now open for the first-ever ‘Camp Quality’s Camp In’ on Saturday 4 July, an ideal ‘at home’ activity with an important cause: to change the cancer story for kids and their families.

Funds raised will help Camp Quality support kids and their families facing cancer with services and programs in hospital, at school, at home and away from it all such as Kids’ Camps, Family Camps, Family Fun Days, the Camp Quality Puppet Program, Retreats, educational apps and online resources.

Radio announcer Andrew Costello (Cosi) and Pippa Wanganeen are ambassadors for Camp Quality’s Camp In and both will be pitching tents in their backyards and ‘camping in’ with their families.

“My family and I love camping and know what joy it can bring. So I’m thrilled to camp for a cause and help raise funds so kids facing cancer can be kids again on one of Camp Quality’s programs,” Cosi said.

“While most of us are now coming out of isolation, it’s ongoing for these kids with supressed immune systems,” added Pippa.

“Camp Quality’s Camp In is a great way of getting the whole family involved in raising funds for kids facing cancer.”

Camp Quality’s Camp In is proudly supported by ALDI and the first 1,000 participants who fundraise $100 will receive a $20 ALDI voucher to shop for their Camp In Survival Pack.

Camp Quality CEO, Deborah Thomas said now more than ever these kids need our help.

“Cancer doesn’t stop for COVID-19 so neither can we,” said Ms Thomas.

“Over 7,000 Camp Quality kids are now waiting for the fun and safety of a Camp Quality program. We are currently getting ready to restart our Camps and Family Fun Days to help our kids impacted by cancer, relieve the stress and anxiety of this heightened level of isolation.”
