Pirate Life unveil exclusive Parlour Private Dining Room in the west

The PL Parlour Private Dining Room launches at favourite Port Adelaide social spot, Pirate Life, designed to accomodate special occasions and events.

Pirate Life Brewery, known for its quality craft brews, premium hospitality and a favourite spot in the Port Adelaide social scene, has unveiled an exciting new addition to its venue—the PL Parlour Private Dining Room.

Adding to what locals and visitors already love about Pirate Life—the feel-good vibes, delicious food and flavourful beer—the new private space has been created to host a variety of special occasions. Whether it’s a family birthday celebration, a corporate dinner or an intimate gathering with friends, the function room takes small groups of ten to fourteen people and is designed to foster connections among its guests.

Katie van de Merwe, Head of Hospitality at Pirate Life, is excited for people to experience this latest addition. ‘The space itself is just beautiful. Covered in murals and adorned with greenery, it’s the perfect spot for an exclusive and intimate event’, says Katie. ‘We’re super passionate about creating meaningful and memorable experiences down here at PLHQ, and our new private dining room will be a proud extension of that.’

Featuring a long table with customised settings, ambient lighting and even a private waiter, the PL Parlour Private Dining Room food and beverage offering will set the bar for a quality dining experience. Pirate Life Head Chef Rocky Oliveria has been utilising the venue’s state-of-the-art facilities, which include a custom-fabricated fire pit, to take the menu at Pirate Life to new levels.

‘We’re always striving to be inclusive with our in-house menu, and this new dining experience gives us the opportunity to be a little more exclusive. You know, elevate it a bit—not just with the food but the overall experience,’ says Rocky.

With dishes that feature fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, the team at Pirate Life are dedicated to celebrating South Aussie produce that’s of the highest quality throughout their menus. ‘The food menu in the Private Dining Room will be focused around a “feed me” chef’s selection, showcasing the skills of our passionate kitchen crew,’ says Rocky.

Catering to all dietary requirements, including gluten-free and vegan, the menu at the Parlour Private Dining Room is designed for sharing and features dishes like roasted whole fish with lemon and caper butter, scotch fillet with native butter and jus, and entrees that include sashimi, arancini and grilled squid.

And let’s not forget the selection of drinks on offer.

‘Along with access to Pirate Life’s extensive range of tap beers (from South Coast to the limited releases), guests will also have the option to explore our little black book, which showcases our love of quality local and international wines,’ says Rocky.

The Pirate Life Parlour Private Dining Room is available for bookings, and the team are now welcoming people to start planning their next special event. ‘Of course, we’ll work to tailor each party’s individual needs. It’s going to be one of Adelaide’s most unique dining experiences for sure’, says Katie.
