Who doesn’t love a delicious dessert, packed with sweetness and sugar? Personally, I love a layered spoonful of tiramisu, rich in aromas of chocolate, mascarpone, and coffee. I’m also a big fan of pistachios, whether they be mixed into ice cream or sliced to create an earthy garnish with just the right mix of sweet and savoury.
Dessert connoisseurs in Adelaide like myself can consider themselves a lucky bunch, because Four Sides Bar & Kitchen in Hyde Park has combined tiramisu, coffee, and pistachios to create their pistachio tiramisu latte, available every Tuesday to Sunday from 8am. I, for one, will be making the trip to Hyde Park to give it a try as soon as humanly possible!

Located on King William Road, Four Sides Bar & Kitchen is the sister establishment to Bistro Francais across the road. As part bar and part restaurant, Four Sides offers a contemporary dining experience for brunch and dinner, serving small plates, mains, an enthralling collection of local by-the-glass wines, refreshing beers, and a selection of classic cocktails including my personal favourite, a Bloody Mary.
The restaurant, which opened its doors in 2023, is both intriguing and inviting, with lavish interior design and European-style outdoor seating, featuring green umbrellas that match the plush green booths inside. The interior is intimately lit with warm colours, gleaming polished wooden surfaces, and a painted archway with a window into the kitchen.
Where Bistro Francais offers authentic French recipes with a few modern or seasonal twists, Four Sides revels in its playful experimentation with alternative cuisines. Yes, you can certainly satisfy your cravings for traditional french toast or lemon posset, but you can also taste their spiced lamb shoulder, or southern-style chicken and waffles. Small shared plates include curried potato dumplings, crispy eggplant, and aburi salmon soldiers. There’s even a kids menu, featuring fluffy pancakes and honey loaf french toast.
But, as I mentioned earlier, the newest feature to this mouth-watering menu is the pistachio tiramisu latte, a delectable mix of layered flavours served in a whiskey glass with a silver spoon. Definitely a delicacy to check out sooner rather than later. Who knows, this layered goodie could become your next sweet fix!
