It’s a new year, and there’s a huge feeling of anticipation for what lies ahead as we stride into the first few weeks of 2025. Many of us likely spent our New Year’s contemplating a bunch of resolutions or goals for the year ahead. Like many, I hope to travel a lot this year, with my sights set on an action-packed Euro summer.
If you’re also feeling the pull of overseas adventures, airline websites and travel agents, there’s a massive, free travel expo coming up at the Adelaide Convention Centre this February, offering a world of possibilities with over 50 of the best airlines, cruises, and travel operators all under the same roof.
On Sunday, February 9th, the World Travel Fest is bringing a diverse melting pot of travel talks, expert advice, and holiday deals to the Adelaide Convention Centre. Whether you’re after a luxury cruise, a solo escape, or a family getaway, this expo offers a wealth of knowledge, recommendations, unbeatable airfares and travel deals, as well as all-day entertainment.
On the day, 27 distinct travel talks will be held between 3 cinema spaces at the Convention Centre from 10am to 3pm.
Cinema 1 will be home to 8 nation-specific travel talks, each running for 30 minutes to three-quarters of an hour. If you’re like me and want to travel around the United Kingdom this year, then the 10:15am Britain and Ireland talk will be right up your alley.
There are also seminars on Spain and Portugal at 11am, Italy and France at 11:30am, Greece and Croatia at 12:15pm, Canada and Alaska at 12:45pm, USA and Hawaii at 1:30pm, Japan at 2:15, and Scandinavia, the Baltics and Iceland at 3pm.
Alternatively, Cinema’s 2 and 3 will host travel talks focusing on a range of international travel businesses like rail services, cruise liners, and travel agents. If you’re seeking a journey through the Australian outback, there’s a talk from Australian Rail Expeditions in Cinema 3 at 10:30am. Or, if you’ve been dreaming of travelling the seas from the comfort of a world-class cruise ship, there are nine cruise-oriented seminars in Cinema 2 alone between 10am and 2:30pm.
There will also be a range of talks offering advice on specific adventures or travel styles, like “Holidays for Solo Travellers” in cinema 2 at 3pm or “Back Roads of Europe” in cinema 3 at 1:30pm.
