While supermarket prices continue to be the talk of the town, residents in Adelaide’s south may soon feel some relief has plans to bring discount supermarket NQR were lodged.
The plans how the supermarket would look to occupy the former Rite Price site on the corner of Daws Road and South Road, changing the land use from a bulky goods outlet to a supermarket. The hours of operations would be 7:30am – 9pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Saturdays and 11am – 5pm Sunday.
The existing bulky goods outlet homes around 490 square meters of floor space. This generates a car parking demand of approximately 12 spaces according to the specified rates. However, the proposed shop
generates a demand of 24.5 spaces. Currently, there are 34 dedicated car parking spaces on the land,
provided in a shared arrangement for each tenancy which are Cash Converters and Bathrooms by Design.
