Back by popular demand, the plant hunt has been keeping little ones entertained through the summer break, and enters its final week of the event, with self-guided kits still available to purchase online.

Once purchased, hunters can collect their kit from the gardens and start on their adventure at their own pace.

The treasure hunt is a wonderful way for families to connect with nature, learn about the world and its environment and have fun exploring.

Children and parents work together to follow a map around Adelaide Botanic Garden, learning about different trees and plants from all over the world as they go.

Clues will also been unravelled along the way in the quest to solve answers to the ‘Plant Hunter’s question’.

Bring a picnic to enjoy, or grab lunch, ice cream or coffee at the garden’s cafe or kiosk, whilst immersing yourself in the lush and expansive greenery that surrounds you.

The last day to collect your plant hunters kit is January 28, so make sure to grab yours now so you don’t miss out on this glorious opportunity.

The treasure hunt is suitable for kids aged between 5-13 years, and roughly takes about 60-90 minutes to complete.

Kits are $10 each and include a map and activities to keep your little explorers entertained.
