‘Play me, I’m Yours’ COME OUT Festival’s Pianos around Adelaide!

Been wondering why there are randomly placed pianos around Adelaide?
Wonder no more! More than 30 pianos are positioned around the streets of Adelaide, metropolitan areas and various regional communities for the COME OUT Festival. These flamboyantly decorated pianos are located in public parks, streets and squares.

The pianos are there for anyone of any age to play and each piano is adorned with the simple invitation ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’.

Play Me, I’m Yours, an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram, has been on tour all over the globe.  The artwork is designed to create a means for strangers who regularly occupy the same space to connect with one another as well as activate and claim ownership of their urban landscape.

The piano located at the Adelaide Airport was painted on the 21st of March by the well known body illustrator, Emma Hack!

The event is free for all ages and runs from 23 March – 12 April
at various locations, such as North Terrace, and the Adelaide Airport.
