We know how important it is for mums and dads to get that much needed wine and dine in, whilst still feeling like they’ve had a ‘night out’ without the kids! So when the kids are in tow, here are some of our favourite spots to grab a tipple whilst keeping the kids entertained.

Brighton Metro Hotel

Serving the Brighton community for 175 years, the Brighton Metro Hotel has become the new go-to spot for families since its major re-vamp including their new-look buffet & sports bar. And the best bit? Their all you can eat buffet caters for all tastebuds, PLUS kids eat free on Mondays and Tuesdays!

Their kids area has plenty of toys and games to keep the little ones busy, with a couple of screens to give them that much needed quiet time.

The Belair Hotel

Located in the beautiful and leafy Mitcham Hills, The Belair Hotel has been a staple favourite to locals for many years, and their family-friendly offerings have attracted visitors from far and wide.

Their family-friendly culture offers up a stellar kids menu, kids chill out zone, plus their playground that will keep the kids entertained for hours while you dine.

The Parkside Hotel

Originally the Fountain Inn Hotel, this beautifully made-over watering hole is located on Glen Osmond Road, just minutes outside the CBD. Their local and contemporary food is fresh and paired with an extensive drinks menu that’s attracted visitors near and far.

The best bit? Their children’s area, endearingly dubbed ‘Bob & Olives’, is a gated play-space of games, toys and a big screen to keep the little tikes entertained. Did we mention they also did ‘build-a-pizza’ kids parties too! A kids party at a pub? Well, that’s the next one sorted!

Schnithouse, Hilton

This ones for the lovers of all things schnitty’s! Yes we’re talking about playgrounds in pubs, but can we just take a moment to recognise these guys and their fully loaded offerings of all things schnitzels!

Ok, back to the kid-stuff! Luckily for families, you don’t have to rush through your over-sized well-adorned golden-crumbed piece of goodness. The little ones will be entertained for hours on their massive tube-slide and play space, while you sit back and relax with your pint and a parmy.

Christies Beach Hotel

Just 2.5km from Port Noarlunga Beach is this perfect lunch spot. With plenty of open outdoor dining areas, and a menu of epic proportions, this spot is perfect for getting some sunshine whilst dining on some of your favourite pub classics.

They’re outdoor playground is ideal to let the kids loose in the fresh air, while you sit back and sip on your bubbles or beer. This ones a must-visit with the family if you’re heading south.

Aldgate Pump Hotel
