Pol Roger Beach Polo Postponed Due To Bad Weather

Sorry, beach polo lovers! Looks like you’re going to have to wait another week for this event.

Sorry, beach polo fans, but the Pol Roger Beach Polo event has been postponed to Saturday 25th February 2017. Due to the weather forecast from BOM being foreboding for this Saturday, with the latest predicting 40% chance of rain and a top temperature of only 20 coupled with wind speeds reaching 39 km/h, creating a ‘wind-chill’ factor of 13 degrees. This means it will ‘feel like’ 13 degrees, which is winter weather, definitely not beach polo weather.

Even aside from the discomfort for the guests by such unseasonal weather, the strong winds could potentially make the games completely unplayable. In these circumstances, and to protect the interests of their sponsors and guests alike, they have made the decision to postpone the event.

The response to the event has been excellent, both locally and abroad, with event organisers exceeding their sales target.  Although any ticket holders that cannot attend on the new date will be refunded, they hope that everyone will do their best to make arrangements to attend this exciting inaugural event the following weekend! The forecast currently predicts a sunny 29 degree summer’s day, with no dramatic weather events on either side of the new date!! Thank God!

Ticketek will be in touch with all guests who purchased tickets through their outlets in regards to the date change and refunds, if applicable.
