South Australia’s Northern District Police are continuing efforts to identify the owners of a significant amount of stolen property discovered in Burton last month. The investigation led officers to an industrial site in Burton on Wednesday, 5 June.
Authorities have alleged that the premises housed a large cache of stolen items, including vehicles, trailers, earthmoving equipment, horse buggies, and approximately 20 shipping containers filled with additional stolen goods. Since the discovery, investigators have been meticulously cataloguing the property and working to return items to their rightful owners.
The police are now seeking assistance from the public to help identify the owners of two dozen distinctive items believed to be stolen.
In addition to the stolen goods, a 41-year-old Burton man was found on the property and is facing multiple charges, including trafficking in a controlled drug, possessing prescribed equipment, theft, and unlawful possession.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are committed to ensuring that all recovered items are returned to their legitimate owners. They appreciate the cooperation and assistance of the community in helping to identify the stolen property.
