Adelaide getting ever closer to the 2025 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, and the pools for this highly anticipated event have been officially announced. Scheduled from November 14th to 23rd 2025, the championships will take place at The Drive and Pinky Flat/Tarntanya Wama in Adelaide, South Australia.
The Drawing of Lots has recently determined the placing of 96 qualified teams into their respective pools for the tournament. This includes 48 men’s pairs and 48 women’s pairs. The official match schedule, which will outline the pool play, elimination brackets, and finals, is set to be released on Tuesday October 14th.
This announcement brings the championships closer to reality and fans, media, and teams are encouraged to secure their tickets early. Tickets can be purchased through the event’s official portal.
During the event, Adelaide will witness top international athletes competing to secure their positions on the podium. Jenny Mann, CEO of Adelaide 2025 Beach Volleyball World Championships, shared, “With the draw now confirmed, the energy and anticipation around this global sporting event continues to build.
“We are ready to welcome the world to Adelaide and deliver an innovative and unforgettable experience for athletes and fans alike.”
FIVB President Fabio Azevedo added, “The Drawing of Lots is a key milestone on the journey to the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable event. We are so excited to host the World Championships in Australia for the very first time and to showcase the passion, talent and energy of beach volleyball on one of the world’s most iconic sporting stages.”
The 2025 World Championships will kick off with a special event named the “Green & Gold Super Session” on November 14th, featuring Australia’s Men’s and Women’s teams alongside Olympic medalists. This session is expected to be a highlight for local fans and offers a unique experience on the global stage.
Tickets and exclusive hospitality packages are already available for sale. The packages, including the Scape Beach Club, Beachside Suites, and VIP Sand Seat Experiences starting from $299, offer catered luxury and spectacular views of the action.
Beyond the volleyball courts, visitors will be able to engage with Adelaide and South Australia’s renowned tourism offerings, encompassing food, wine, beaches, wildlife, and nature. The event is not only a sport spectacle but also an opportunity to experience the local culture and scenery.
Supported by the South Australian Government through the South Australian Tourism Commission and presented by The Living Company, this event is expected to be the largest beach volleyball event ever held in the Asia-Oceania region.
