Pop Up Garden Market Opens Its Gates For A Third Season

The third instalment of the Wattle Street Markets begins in October it is gearing up to be the best yet

Wattle St Market, the unique pop-up market set in the garden of a Fullarton home, is expected to once again attract strong crowds when its first market for the season kicks off next month, Saturday, October 17.

The Spring market will bring together an eclectic mix of 20-plus South Australian designers and makers, showcasing everything from body care, concrete pots and succulents, prints, handmade designer dresses, kids shoes and accessories, vintage clothing, soy candles, luxury towels and homewares.

Wattle Street Market co-organiser Bec Rodenburg, says the feedback to the market has been amazingly positive and she’s looking forward to bringing it back for another season.

“There’s certainly no shortage of markets to choose from these days, but we’re proud our concept remains unique. Our stallholders are nestled amongst the garden, music fills the air and the sun shines, it makes for a really nice day out for all involved,” she said.

Between shopping, people can enjoy a selection of handpicked food and drink options including healthy, fresh made salads by Food Man Chew, raw vegan cheesecakes by Eat Me Raw, cupcakes and biscuits from Rebecca’s Cakes and coffee by Sure Shot.

The Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation will continue as the official charity partner, with several ways people can show their support, from gold coin donation upon entry, face painting and a new stall featuring donated second hand books, DVDs and CDs, with all proceeds going to the charity.
