The Australian Dance Theatre has announced a street dance workshop for teens just in time for school holidays. Two street dance workshops will be taught by Zoë Dunwoodie and Michael Ramsay, professional dancers for Adelaide Dance Theatre, a group renowned for using a fusion of unique dance styles including street, contemporary, ballet, breaking, and gymnastics.
This a great chance for teens to get active and learn the basics of street dancing, including breaking, popping, tutting, and tumbling techniques. Floor and partner techniques will also be taught, as well as choreography for a personal dance routine.
Dancers are encouraged to bring their phone along and film their new moves, and to use the hashtag #ADTSTREETDANCESESSIONS to show Adelaide their skills.
Friday 9th of October across two session times only:
10:00am – 12:00am
2:00pm – 4:00pm
Held at the Adelaide Meeting Hall, Pilgrim Lane in Adelaide CBD.
