Pop-up Street Party to Feature 80 Unicorns

Adelaide Fringe is launching its program with an amazing pop-up street party this Friday, giving people a sneak preview of what they can look forward to!

If you’ve ever wanted to attend a magical unicorn party, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE. Not being one to shy away from the quirky and unusual, Adelaide Fringe has added an enormous number of unicorns to its line up for their Friday program launch party. Open to the public, the magical street party featuring 80 ‘Unicorns’ will herald the start of next year’s event being held from February 17 to March 19.

Kicking things off, the ‘blessing’ of 80 unicorns will parade down Rundle Mall before reaching the final party destination in Vardon Avenue. Festivities begin at 5pm and Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall says the program launch will treat everyone to some of the highlights of the 2017 Adelaide Fringe program.

The entertainment will include nine-piece band Motown Connection and roving performers before DJ Pablito gets you dancing from 6.30pm until the event ends at 11pm. There’ll be food and drinks from local East End traders Mother Vine, Nola, Lemongrass and the Tasting Room. Beer, wine and cider will also be available in the street from the Nola pop-up bar.

The full program will be launched this Friday and can be viewed on the fringe website www.adelaidefringe.com.au
