Today, RSL-SA and ASC Pty Ltd meet at Techport to officially launch the 2014 Poppy Week.
The 2014 Poppy Week will be launched at the Common User Facility in Techport, based out at Osborne.
ASC Interim CEO Stuart Whiley states “The RSL is committed to making a real difference to the lives of men and women who have served our country.”
“All of us at ASC, but particularly our production personnel, are also committed to the lives of men and women who serve our country – by ensuring the safe operability of the naval vessels that support our Australian service men and women.”
“Wearing a poppy and remembering is a small but significant way we can all pay respect to those who have made the greatest sacrifice, and I encourage everyone to support the RSL of South Australia’s decision to extend this Remembrance to a full week.”
The Poppy Appeal is run nation-wide. Funds raised for vital services strengthens the RSL’s capability to deliver support to our veterans and their families; these services include assistance with entitlements, health and wellbeing services.
