Adelaide’s hospitality scene has suffered yet another blow with GANG GANG in Parkside announcing it is scheduled to close on Sunday June 16th.
GANG GANG took to their social media accounts on Monday May 13th to share the news that their Parkside location will have to shut its doors due to “a large hike in rent”.
“After 5 years at our beautiful Parkside location we have decided not to extend our lease due to a large hike in rent,” GANG GANG said in a statement on their Facebook.
“We opened 2 months before the pandemic and are proud of what we accomplished during that time but is time for us to move on.
“We have loved every minute of our journey and the community we have built but like many we are feeling the pinch.
“We need to make the right steps for us personally and for our business at this time in the hospitality industry and that means making these hard decisions, whilst we can and moving forward with our new projects.
“By early June, our goal is to bring everything you love to the city store and move everything under the one roof. Along with exciting new projects in the works under the GG umbrella. More to be announced soon…
“In the mean time, our last trading day will be Sunday 16th June.
“From Wednesday this week we will be serving a curated greatest hits menu and of course coffee by the one and only VC.
“We want to give a massive thank you to Vinnie who has been there with us from the start, to our staff, our regulars, our community, our friends and family who made this space into a home with us.
“Thank you again all for your support. Please do pop by for a coffee or a bite to eat whilst the doors are still painted yellow!”
GANG GANG’s Parkside deli is located on Unley Road, and takes pride in serving up an array of delicious burgers that have made them famous around town, alongside great coffee and a rotating seasonal brunch menu.
