There’s no better time to head to the Barossa than during spring, and one event captures the magic of the season in this region perfectly. Sunset on Seppeltsfield Road returns Friday, November 21st, transforming one of South Australia’s most photographed roads into a twilight celebration of food, wine, and live entertainment.
After two consecutive sellout runs, the event has become a must-do on the Barossa Valley calendar. Hosted by the Seppeltsfield Road Business Alliance, Sunset on Seppeltsfield Road invites locals and visitors to sip and stroll their way through a world-class line-up of wineries, distilleries, brewers, and food producers. All of this is framed by the road’s iconic date palms and panoramic vineyard views.

Throughout the event, guests can walk between stalls featuring some of the region’s most acclaimed names, including Seppeltsfield, Hentley Farm, Whistler, Two Hands Wines, Torbreck, Paulmara Estates, and Seppeltsfield Road Distillers, alongside boutique newcomers and small-batch favourites. There’s also Rehn Bier, Prohibition Gin, Greenock Creek Wines, and still more to come.
There’s plenty on offer for all the foodies too. Local restaurants and chefs will bring spring flavours to life with seasonal menus designed for grazing as the sun goes down. These bites will be perfectly paired with the wines and drinks on offer.
Now in its third year, the event continues to evolve. Seppeltsfield Road will once again close to traffic, allowing guests to move freely between pop-ups and tasting stations. The atmosphere is relaxed, family-friendly, and distinctly Barossan with equal parts sophistication and country charm.

Tickets include entry, a Spiegelau wine glass on arrival, and access to the full evening line-up from 4pm to 8pm. Children under 18 enter free, making it a perfect outing for families, couples, and groups of friends chasing that quintessential Barossa experience. And with nearby parking, live entertainment, and a spectacular sunset, this year is shaping up to be another unforgettable night. Plus, all proceeds from the event directly support the Seppeltsfield Road Business Alliance, funding improvements and innovation across the historic precinct.
So if an evening under the glow of golden hour, top-tier wines, and lively Barossa energy sounds like your thing, grab your crew and head to one of the most scenic stretches in South Australia
