Friday, Saturday and Sunday, celebrate the Winter Solstice, marking mid-winter and the return of the sun, with a delicious combo of hearty winter food, mulled wine, beers, and cocktails. Cosy bars & venues, local live music, and entertainment await you at Dark Tides Festival.
This weekend, the historic streets of Port Adelaide will come alive after dark with beautiful lanterns crafted by the Port Adelaide Artists Forum, featured at each participating Dark Tides Festival venue. Stroll through the port seeking out the illuminated lanterns at each venue. Each corner of Port Adelaide will offer something different to surprise and delight, all within an easy 15-minute walk between venues and a great after dark free activity to do with the kids.

A pub crawl has been set up between six locations around Port Adelaide, which form the core of the festival. Each one will become an epic destination after dark, with a cozy fifteen-minute walk between venues, allowing you to lose your senses in the heritage that surrounds you as you explore the festival trail. The Port Admiral Hotel, The British Hotel, Fergie Macs, Pirate Life, 10 Gallon Hat, Confession and Millegdes are all participating. There’s a range of free and ticketed events, culminating in a Port Adelaide Artists Forum – Solstice Celebration on the Sunday at Harts Mill.
