The cult-favourite bakery’s monthly donut flavours are hotly anticipated each month, with July’s flavour coming in as a classic American staple.

The undisputed donut den of Adelaide, Port Elliot have announced their much-anticipated monthly donut special for July, and this one’s a Yank-themed special (and just in time for the 4th of July this weekend!)

When lucky customers sink their teeth into this baked bad boy, they’ll first taste the cinnamon sugared donut, before hitting a peanut butter custard creme filling and a sinfully sticky centre of Beerenberg raspberry apple jam.

(Alexa, play ‘It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time…)

A peanut butter and jelly donut will set you back $6.50, and you’ll have to stock up on some serious stamina to tackle the lengthy queues the bakery is now famed for, come rain or shine.

The cult-favourite donut spot wowed crowds with their Biscoff donut for June (read our guide to Biscoff in Adelaide here!) so much so that the bakery has decided to make a whole new Biscoff product for the month of July.

If customers didn’t satisfy their Biscoff craving with last month’s donut they can now find a delicious vanilla slice with a Biscoff custard creme experts piped in the centre (our bet is you’ll have to act quick to get your hands on this one).

Some of Port Eliot’s previous monthly specials have included a decadent Red Velvet donut with cheesecake frosting, an Iced Coffee donut perfect for those looking for a different way to get their caffeine hit, as well as FruChoc, Blueberry Cheesecake and even a Piñata Donut all flying off the shelves in the last 12 months.

If you’re feeling brave, you can give the kids an extra sugar boost this school holidays with a trip to the iconic bakery
