Ready to drink with Mario, Sonic and Pacman?

Boozy gaming wonderland Power Up Bar has just given us even more reasons to go – hundreds of them!

The Leigh Street cocktail bar has added hundreds of new arcade games to their already large arsenal, upping the spot’s nostalgic feels and competitive spirit. They’ve added numerous two-player games in the arcade, including Marvel and Mortal Kombat games, sports games such as mini arcade tennis, as well as single-player Mario additions and two to three different Pacman sets.

In total, the bar has five arcade machines, including two-player varieties and wall mounts. And the games don’t stop at the arcade; Some of the cocktails have video game influences, such as their “It’s-a Me, Mario” drink, which comes in red and blue just like the famous character.

Other popular drink offerings include their sharing cocktails, which come with a bottle of soju inside, and their sugary shots, such as their Buffalo Bill-inspired shot topped with cream.

Power Up Bar is the brainchild of Than and Tira Rattanakosit, also responsible for wizard-themed The Sorcerer’s Bar. The pair opened the bar in 2020, and they’ve been bringing sugary drinks and arcade fun to Leigh Street ever since.

To get your game on with a slew of new additions and try some sweet drinks, make sure to pop into Power Up Bar.
