On July 20th, Prancing Pony Brewery will host an exclusive Wagyu Degustation Dinner with Mayura Station, showcasing the best Wagyu beef South Australia has to offer.

Prancing Pony Brewery is set to host an exclusive Wagyu Degustation Dinner with Mayura Station this July 20th, showcasing South Australia’s finest Wagyu beef, paired with delicious craft brews.

The dinner will start at 6pm, featuring an introduction to the makers followed by a five-course menu that will highlight premium full-blood Mayura Station Wagyu, paired with Prancing Pony’s finest brews. Each course, complemented by locally sourced vegetables, is carefully matched with selected beers to enhance the dining experience. Priced at $191.90 per person, the dinner includes a Wagyu main and cheeses from Woodside Cheese. Non-beer drinkers can choose from a selection of wines and non-alcoholic beverages.

Mayura Station is a well-known wagyu cattle farm in South Australia, famous for producing some of the best Wagyu cattle in the world. Founded in 1845 as a traditional sheep and cattle ranch, Mayura Station began focusing on Wagyu farming in 1998, with an emphasis on the production of top-class Full-blood Wagyu.

These Wagyu cows are known for their excellent marbling and rich flavour. The ranch employs natural grazing and carefully managed feeding methods to ensure the health of the cattle and the excellent quality of the meat. Mayura Station’s commitment to quality has won it numerous awards and a loyal following among food enthusiasts.

In November 2023, Adelaide’s best steak restaurant Mayura Station scooped up the title of “best steak restaurant” at the Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence in South Australia.

Mark Wright, the head chief at Mayura Station, will be taking over the Prancing Pony’s kitchen to prepare the exclusive dinner.

“Every time I prepare a steak for our customers I feel like a kid in a candy store, I love seeing the marbling and I believe every piece of beef served will the give the diner a memorable experience,” Mark Wright said.
