South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas and his wife Annabel have welcomed their fourth child, George Robert Malinauskas, into their growing family.
Announced on the Premier’s Facebook page, George’s arrival on Thursday afternoon was a moment of immense joy, with the baby boy weighing a healthy 4.14 kg.
“Both Annabel and George are doing very well, we feel so incredibly fortunate.”
“Thanks so much to all the medical staff who have assisted George and Annabel, particularly Dr Chris Sexton who has done an amazing job delivering all our children.”
“Family is everything.”
The couple, who already share three children under the age of eight – Sophie, Jack, and Eliza, have always cherished the idea of a large family.
It is anticipated that Deputy Premier Susan Close will step in to lead while Malinauskas takes paternity leave for the next couple of weeks.
