Held at Westfield Marion Thursday 27 October 2011 at 4pm, the competition will be judged by industry leaders from around the world, with the most promising ‘new face’ winning a trip of a lifetime to Paris to meet with the world's top modelling agencies and launch their international modelling career.
The judging panel will consist of Adam Browne (International Scout – Bravo Models, Tokyo), Amanda Betts and Mandy Jacobson (Directors – RED11 Models, New Zealand) and Christabel Dundon (Owner and Founder – Pride Models, Adelaide).
Once flown to Paris, the winner will meet leading modelling agencies IMG, Elite, Marilyn, and Ford Models, giving them the opportunity to be seen by some of the most influential local, national, and worldwide industry leaders, with the intention of propelling one young hopeful into the competitive but exciting international modelling scene.
Pride Models Owner, Christabel Dundon, says she is really excited to uncover amazing, new, local talent.
"This is a competition like no other ever held in South Australia and we can’t wait to unearth the next big thing and unleash them on to the international modelling scene."
"Discovering new modelling talent, developing them, and signing them with the world’s leading modelling agencies is my passion, and it is such a rewarding experience."
"Model competitions give us the opportunity to unveil a wider range of aspiring models. They also allow us to discover new faces and for the winner, fast track their modelling career through our agency partners in Paris and all over the world."
"This is extremely exciting for Pride Models, but for one lucky girl, this event has the potential to completely change their life," says Christabel.
Pride Models are renowned for taking their models to the next level with their latest success story – Shanna Jackway, who was scouted by Christabel in a Westfield Shopping Centre in late 2010.
"Most recently Shanna Jackway set off to Paris after landing a contract with the world’s number one agency – IMG Models, highlighting that local Adelaide girls can make it big in the modelling industry. They just need to be confident, determined, and ready to take the next step, and I’m hoping to discover someone with these attributes at the 2011 Pride Models International Model Search," says Christabel.
In total, the winner of the 2011 Pride Models International Model Search will receive prizes to the value of $10,000, which comprises of a four day return trip to Paris including flights and accommodation, a contract with Pride Models, $1000 worth of Kosmea products, a $1200 portfolio shoot, a $1000 wardrobe from Finders Keepers, and much more.
