If sipping a sparkling cocktail in a feather boa while yelling out obscure 90s trivia answers tickles your fancy, your moment has arrived.
In a fabulous twist on the classic quiz night, the team behind the Save The Queen campaign is throwing an event that’s everything glitter with over-the-top fun.
Get ready for Priscilla: Frock Up and Find Out, a night of sequins, sass, and serious 90’s knowledge at Ayers House, on Friday 23 May.
Eat, drink and relive the magic of Aussie 90s cinema. Test your knowledge on classics like The Castle, Muriel’s Wedding and Strictly Ballroom.

The event is all in support of restoring the original bus from the film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, with every ticket sold helping to bring the iconic vehicle back to life.
There’ll be custom Priscilla-themed cocktails, 90s dress-ups, and more than $2,000 worth of prizes — not to mention a room full people ready to belt out a Donna Summer tune if the moment calls for it.
For those who its love a good quiz night for a fabulous cause, you don’t have to dress up to be a part of the fun.
Being held in Ayers House on North Terrace, one of Adelaide’s most beautiful historic function venues, this special event will be both elegant and dazzling.

Hosting the evening is none other than Adelaide’s own drag legend Vonni, a trailblazer with decades of cabaret under her belt. Vonni isn’t just a seasoned performer, she made history in 2022 as the first transgender actor to play Bernadette in a major production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, a role that mirrored her own life in ways that made headlines around the country. If anyone’s qualified to keep the crowd entertained between quiz rounds, it’s her.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of champagne before diving into quiz night chaos, and they’ll also get an inside scoop on the Priscilla restoration project from some of the key people behind it.
Special guest Graeme Mason, former CEO of Screen Australia and a major force in getting the original film off the ground, will be sharing stories from behind the scenes, including how he helped launch the film at Cannes and got it into cinemas around the world.
“I’ve been on the Priscilla ride for the whole journey, so I have a lot to share,” Graeme says.
And with the sequel now in the works, it’s safe to say the sequel is just getting started.

So far, the Save The Queen campaign has raised just over $205,000, but with a $2.2 million goal, every glass of bubbles and trivia win counts. The support from ticket sales and donations will enable the restoration team to bring this piece of Australian cinema history back to life and deliver the bus to her permanent home.
She’s bound for the National Motor Museum in Birdwood, which already has a reputation for showing off vehicles with amazing stories.
Whether you’re a film nerd, a disco diva, or just looking for a ridiculously fun night out, this one’s got your name on it. Frock up, find out, and help bring an icon back to life.
