Pro bono legal service launches inaugural Art for Justice evening with Art Galley of SA

The highly-acclaimed Dan Withey will be the first featured artist for JusticeNet’s inaugural “Art for Justice” evening, taking place on Friday 28 October.

South Australia’s pro bono legal house, JusticeNet SA, has proudly announced its inaugural event, Art of Justice, in partnership with the Art Galley of South Australia and Credit Union SA.

The highly-acclaimed Dan Withey will join JusticeNet as the organisation’s very first “Artist for Justice”, as he embarks on the extraordinary challenge of creating an artwork inspired by one of JusticeNet’s recent matters in just two hours.

Primarily working in acrylic paint, along with ink and pencil, Withey creates vivid, playful and surreal compositions that recall the absurdity of dreamscapes and traverse the domestic to the fantastic.

JusticeNet CEO Rebecca Ross is inviting Adelaideans to this intimate occasion on Friday 28 October 2022.

The evening will begin with a VIP tour by AGSA Associate Director Lisa Slade, pointing out pieces from the ‘story of justice’, as we explore the gallery after hours.

Each guest will receive a limited edition fine art print of the piece Dan creates on the night, with the opportunity to purchase the original.

This event marks the first of JusticeNet’s annual Art for Justice evenings. To find out more or purchase tickets, click here.
