Prohibition Liquor Co release their limited-edition Christmas Gin

Prohibition Liquor Co has released its ever-popular limited release Christmas Gin in a gorgeous gold bottle with classic ‘Christmas pudding’ flavours.

For the fifth year running, Prohibition Liquor Co has released its ever-popular limited release Christmas Gin in a gorgeous gold bottle. The 2021 vintage captures the Christmas spirit and makes the perfect gift this festive season.

It features all the luxurious complexity you’ve come to expect, including classic ‘Christmas pudding’ flavours from ingredients naturally macerated in our citrus-forward Australian dry gin.

Co-founder Adam Carpenter says they have scaled up production to address the high demand of the limited-edition gin in past years.

“This product has achieved cult status across Australia and the globe; every year we increase production and every year it sells out,” he says.

This year is looking no different, with around a third of the gin already sold as spirit lovers scramble to get theirs, retailing at $125 per bottle.

Head Distiller Hugh Lumsden says the new gin tastes just like Christmas.

“It plays perfectly in your favourite Christmas cocktails, like a French 75 on ice with a glacé cherry, or over Christmas pudding, custard, or ice-cream for a decadently festive dessert.”

The packaging this year features lustrous gold bottles – hand-made in the Cognac region of France –adorned with dripping white wax seals and delicate white print. It also comes gift-boxed, making an ideal Christmas gift for that someone special. Adam says this may be their most beautiful bottle yet.

Last year’s Christmas Gin was included in the Prohibition ‘Bootleg Box’ subscription. This year, Prohibition Liquor Co have ‘upped the ante’, including not only the 2021 Christmas Gin but also another limited release full bottle, loads of seasonal goodies, PLC merchandise and recipe cards.

The box offers over $250 worth of value for $165 (quarterly subscription) and is delivered to homes four times a year, with no restrictions so you can opt out at any time.

The Prohibition 2021 Christmas Gin went on sale to the public on Monday October 18 and is already over 30% sold.
