According to the Prohibition Liquor Co. team, blood orange season, a short, mid-winter period, is eagerly awaited each year.
The team peel, slice, juice, dehydrate, distill, and enjoy the season’s fresh blood oranges.
This year, the process has resulted in a seasonal gin release, celebrating the South Australian Riverland’s 2020 Blood Orange Harvest.
Prohibition’s Blood Orange Gin is described by the team as “juicy, bold … ready to party.”
In terms of botanicals, think Juniper, Coriander, Ginger, Blood Orange, Mandarin, Lemon, Strawberry Gum, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Myrtle, Rivermint, and Pepperleaf.
Post Distillation, the gin is infused with fresh blood orange peel and juice.
The Blood Orange Gin is ideal for a G&T, spritz or cocktail ingredient.
